our story

Established in 2012 and proud to be one of the few New York City breweries. NYC has had a rich brewing history that reaches back over 100 years. This has given ACBC a strong foundation on which to build and offers a challenge we enthusiastically embrace everyday. We started as two roommates in the Alphabet City neighborhood of the East Village of NYC brewing beer in our kitchen and are excited to be on the verge of opening a brew pub there in the near future. We love beer and love sharing our beers with friends and that's what our style of brewing is all about. It's about camaraderie and the group experience. We provide brews for the table that everyone can gather around; brews perfect for the meal you're about to have or the story about to be shared - brews for celebrations and brews for collaboration - we brew for you.

our beer

We currently offer three distinct beers
which appeal to a wide range of tastes...

Unfiltered Lager

Lager

ABV 5.4%
IBU 35
SRM 12
Available 50L, 1/6 kegs
Malt - Pilsner, Munich
Hops - Hallertau

The Unfiltered Lager is the first of our "Tag and Release Series". Lagers are king in NYC. Like our hood, ours is different. Offbeat, gritty, and full flavored; it's sure to make its mark on the streets and make a run for the throne. Flavor - Toasted Cereal. Cheerios. Granola. Color - Amber Dusk at Tompkins Square Park.

Easy Blonde Ale "Easy" Blonde Ale Kolsch Style

"Easy" Blonde Ale

Kolsch Style

ABV 4.7%
IBU 16
Available 50L, 1/6 kegs
Malt - 2 Row, Raw Wheat
Hops - Magnum, Crystal

This crisp, light-bodied golden ale has hints of citrus and white pepper and is lagered to give it a smooth, crisp finish. This Brew's promiscuous drinking appeal makes it the easy choice for a smooth, light beer.

Alpha Male IPA "Alpha Male" IPA West Coast IPA

"Alpha Male" IPA

West Coast IPA

ABV 6.2%
IBU 70
Available 50L, 1/6 kegs
Malt - Pale, Vienna
Hops - Bravo, Chinook, Columbus, Summit

The aggressively hopped "Alpha Male" stands center of attention with its robust and alluring hop aromas of earthy and fruity flavors and is perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. Extra hoppy and overtly over the top, paired with a seductively crisp undertone.

our team

The fine young gentlemen behind ACBC.

Jason Yarusi
Brewmaster & Partner

Jason's hand model days were cut short when he slammed a pointer finger with a sledgehammer. The next logical choice was to make beer. Jason is dedicated to consistent taste and the best ingredients. He learned from his many years as a manager in hospitality that you sweat the smallest stuff to get the best, most consistent product.

Jeffrey Simón
Brewmaster & Partner

Besides an awesome 'stache, Jeffrey has awesome taste buds. Having been a mixologist for 15 years, he understands what tastes good, pairs well and looks good. Jeffrey and Jason get along in part because they are dedicated to the finest quality for their product.

Red Dacquel
Director of Sales

"Code" Red (the one on the left) is a master of the fine art of beer - he knows beer, he loves beer, he lives beer. And, he needs you to do the same. When he's not hanging with the Biebs, he's pounding the pavement spreading the good word about ACBC and all we have to offer. If you want ACBC, see Red!

Ryan Yarusi
Chief Marketing Officer

Should you want to hear someone talk ad nauseam about ACBC then Ryan's your man. Ryan and his team run all the non-beer side of the business. Ryan's degree in Finance and Business Management make him the needed outcast for the company. For all press, event and marketing, contact Ryan.

Jack Yarusi, Chief Mascot Officer

Jack comes from a long line of crotch licking entrepreneurs. Strict but fair is how he is described by peers and colleagues. Jack frequently holds seminars on Management, Leadership, and Corporate Strategy. Most recently, Jack was interviewed by Playboy for their most eligible bachelor edition.

When not speaking or running his companies, Jack can be found boating, skiing or running. An avid exerciser, you will often find him in the park doing laps.

To have Jack speak at your next corporate meeting, contact him at JACK@ACBCNYC.COM.

2012 NYC Craft Beer Festival : Winter Harvest

Hurricane Sandy walloped the tri state area just a few short weeks ago. I was trapped at work mainly helping to carry diesel canisters up several flights of stairs to keep a broadcast facility operational, at the same time my wife sat at home in the dark. When I finally got out of the hotel work had provided and got picked up in Manhattan for my first meal I ended up at, of course, a beer oriented bar in midtown...
